Wildcat Family,

Welcome to our first edition of the new PTA E-Newsletter and a new school year at Wester Middle School! Thank you for subscribing to what we hope will be an informative tool for you this year.

Our newly designed website is an another great resource. Visit us online at www.westerpta.com to learn more about your PTA and to see a calendar of upcoming events. You can even sign up to follow us on Twitter and/or receive important text messages!

As we begin our second term of school, our dedicated team of volunteers is diligently working together to do our part to ensure a successful year for our students, parents, administrators, faculty and staff. I am extremely excited about our plans and goals and anticipate a very positive and productive year. Look for information in this newsletter on upcoming activities such as Bookfair, Freaky Fridays, Reflections and Teacher Appreciation.

If you ever have any questions or comments regarding PTA, please do not hesitate to contact me. When we all work together as one team, there are no limits on what our children can achieve! Thank you for your support and allowing me the privilege of serving you and your student.

Dear Wester Family,

Welcome to the Wester PTA website!  Please bookmark this site for readily accessible information about Wester and PTA.

Back-to-School Packets
Thank you to everyone who has returned their back-to-school packet!  Should you still need a packet or a particular form, you will find it in the "Documents" link below.  Simply print, complete and return the form to the school, attention PTA.

Membership
Becoming a member of the PTA will not only give you access to a network of information, but also give you a voice in making decisions for your child, for our school, and its numerous activities.  Join us today in making a difference at Wester!

PTA Dollars at Work/Donations
Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far!  Your support is vital to our success as PTA sponsors a number of activities throughout the year such as Socials, Bookfair, Freaky Fridays, Reflections and Teacher Appreciation luncheons just to name a few.  Additionally, PTA funds are utilized to purchase items for our classrooms and to provide for student programs.  Wester PTA also gives back to our MISD community by donating to the MISD Education Foundation and to the MISD Multi-Scholarship Program.  It is never too late to submit your tax-deductible donation which can even be done online via Paypal.  Just click the “Donate” link!

Communication
Don’t forget to sign up for Wester news via email and e-newsletters!  It’s the best way to stay in the loop.

To sign up for any of the above areas (Membership, Newsletter, Donation Drive, etc.), simply print the form from the back-to-school packet link in "documents" below, complete and return it with your student, attention PTA.  You can also email the chairman directly using contact information from the "About Us" link above.
